Villa Cantik

The ocean views that greet guests on arrival at the exclusive Gapura Vista villa complex in South Bali are sublime. Tucked away down a quiet lane, just moments from the fine white sands of Pandawa Beach, is the impressive Villa Cantik, which translates into 'beautiful'. Spanning over 1,700 square meters, this extravagantly designed multi-level luxury villa offers guests a private, secluded stay in a beautiful setting.

This contemporary villa has it all: six stylishly decorated en suite bedrooms, two swimming pools, media room, private gym, massage room and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Perfect for families and groups of friends for shared holidays, or to reboot and recharge on an executive retreat, Villa Cantik provides optimal space in an eloquently designed hilltop layout. With a garden gazebo, expansive verandas, private balconies and plenty of poolside sun loungers, guests will not struggle to find a relaxing spot to unwind.

Though located in a rural part of South Bali, everything one might need is close at hand. Transport can be arranged to nearby attractions, or for other excursions further afield. Guests can sign up for a game of golf at the Pandawa Beach Country Club, see Devdan (a popular performance depicting traditional life across the archipelago) at Bali's Nusa Dua Theatre, or take in a sunset dance performance at the awe-inspiring Uluwatu temple. In addition to these famed attractions, there are numerous restaurants, boutiques and spas within reach.   

The most luxurious aspect of renting a private villa in Bali is having a dedicated staff to serve you. Villa Cantik includes five butlers who also serve as cooks, a very knowledgeable villa manager and 24-hour villa complex security to ensure privacy and safety.

Villa Cantik's entrance foyer lies next to a carport with space for two vehicles. The foyer is lined with fishponds and opens onto an upper-level veranda and a 10-metre infinity pool and outdoor lounge areas. Near the pool is a convenient guest changing room with showers. Beyond the veranda is the living room, guest kitchen and dining room with an adjoining staff kitchen, followed by a massage room, media center and two en suite guest bedrooms, one of which includes a private balcony. At the opposite end of the veranda is the master suite, which overlooks lush tropical gardens.

At ground level are a second 10-metre pool and an entertainment area with billiards table, full-service bar and outdoor dining space. Two en suite guest bedrooms and a fully equipped gym are situated at one end of the pool, with a larger en suite guest bedroom opposite. Textured marble walkways and stairwells join all areas.

Living Areas

Indoor living
Villa Cantik's large open-plan living spaces are eloquently designed without sacrificing comfort and functionality. The spacious living room is defined by a large, soft-cushioned sectional sofa and entertainment center, which includes a 60-inch screen, Apple TV and stereo system with surround-sound speakers. The space is kept light and airy with three ceiling fans, a vaulted alang-alang roof and sliding doors that open onto an expansive veranda. Attached to the living room is a generously sized guest kitchen with refrigerator and bar seating for five. The adjoining dining room includes an enormous solid teak dining table that seats 12 comfortably.

The media/business room is equipped with a 37-inch flat-screen TV, karaoke machine and private office phone. It is furnished with a large solid teak desk and soft-cushioned sofa and armchair. Directly below is the gym, with state of the art machines and free weights. The gym is air-conditioned and comes with a flat-screen TV and stereo system. Behind the staff kitchen is the massage room with two treatment tables and ambient lighting.

Outdoor living
The grand foyer at the main entrance to the villa is the perfect place to greet guests. It is lined with ponds filled with colorful tilapia fish and lily pads. Just beyond the foyer is a vast veranda with marble floors, comfortable sun loungers and a large sofa. The beautifully designed 10-metre pool cascades into a second pool below. It is illuminated at night by ambient lighting and two fire pits, which create an exotic atmosphere. On the ground-floor veranda, amongst lush tropical gardens, is the shaded second 10-metre pool and an entertainment area with full service bar and full size billiards table. Beside the bar is an alfresco dining table that can seat up to 20 guests.

Bedroom

sall six en suite bedrooms at Villa Cantik come equipped with plush king-size mattresses, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and ample storage room. They are tastefully designed with teak furniture and hardwood floors, and come accented with local artwork and oriental-inspired fabrics whose colors give the rooms their names.

Blue room - Master suite
The upper-level master suite, known as the Blue Room, features a vaulted alang-alang ceiling, walk-in dressing room and flat-screen TV.  The room is furnished with a finely crafted wooden headboard, teak writing desk and soft-cushioned sofa for lounging. Broad windows across three of the walls lead to a balcony with sweeping sea views and intimate seating for two. The spacious ensuite bathroom is elegantly designed with granite, teak and terrazzo, and is equipped with his and hers sinks, indoor shower, and tropical outdoor shower and bathtub.

Purple Room
The Purple Room is an upper-level guest bedroom with a vaulted alang-alang ceiling. Included is a private balcony with panoramic views of the sea and intimate seating for two. The room is furnished with a soft-cushioned chaise longue, teak writing desk, flat-screen TV and built-in wardrobe. This room also offers marvelous views over the lower pool and garden. The sizable marble and granite ensuite bathroom comes with his and hers sinks and an indoor shower.

Red Room
The smallest of the guest bedrooms, the Red Room, includes a built-in wardrobe, and a marble and terrazzo ensuite bathroom with indoor shower. It neighbors the media room on the villa's upper level.

Green Room
The aptly named Green Room is situated near the garden gazebo, and offers a private garden-enclosed veranda with intimate seating for two. The room is furnished with a soft-cushioned sofa, built-in wardrobe, teak writing desk and flat-screen TV. The ensuite bathroom with indoor shower is finished in granite and terrazzo.

Orange Room
The Orange Room offers ambient lighting in a tastefully designed room equipped with a built-in wardrobe and lounge seating (which can be converted to sleep an extra adult for an additional charge). Its marble and terrazzo ensuite bathroom is fitted with a shower. This room is situated on the ground floor, next to the Green Room and near the garden.

Yellow Room
Directly below the master suite is the Yellow Room, the largest of the five guest bedrooms. This room features a private veranda with garden access, additional sofa seating (which can be converted to sleep an extra adult for an additional charge), a flat-screen TV and a writing desk. The large walk-in dressing room leads into a bright and airy ensuite bathroom designed in marble and terrazzo and featuring his and hers sinks, a shower and access to a private garden.
